I have attached links to M-STEP Testing Schedule Update and M-STEP Letter for Parents. Please take a moment to read the parent letter.
Yes, it is that time of year. It is time for state testing. All students in grades 3-5 will be taking the Michigan Student Test for Educational progress, or M-STEP. The state is offering schools to take either the paper version or the computer version of this test. Our school district has decided to have students take to paper version of this test. Students with disabilities will be given some accommodations during these test. These accommodations are listed on your students IEP. If you would like another copy of your students IEP you can contact me through e-mail or phone and I will get it to you. Since we did not have any state testing last year it is important to understand why students are tested and what you can do to help students being tested. National PTA has provided a document to help you understand assessments. You can get that document here. |
